Composition
Each liter of solution contains:
- Thiamphenicol 250 g
Target Animal
Broiler and Turkey
Indication
- Broiler: Treatment of bacterial disease of the respiratory and intestinal tract, Chronic Respiratory Disease, Colibacillosis, Fowl Coryza, treatment of infectious diseases sustained by Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Salmonella spp., Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale and Clostridium perfringens.
- Turkey: Treatment of infectious diseases sustained by Salmonella spp., Pasteurella multocida, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale, Staphylococcus aureus, Clostridium perfringens, Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma meleagridis.
Dosage and Administration
1.6-2 ml of Thiamphenicure®25% /10 Kg B.W. (Equivalent to 40-50 mg of thiamphenicol/Kg B.W.), daily for 3-5 consecutive days in drinking water.
Note:
- The concentration of diluted solution mustn´t be less than 800 ml/1000 L D.W. and more than 1250 ml/1000 L D.W.
- This product does not need to be diluted in a small amount of water. To prevent active substance precipitation in drinking water, add the calculated amount of Thiamphenicure®25% directly to the drinking water tank.
- Medicated water must be used within 12 hours during therapy period.
- Duration and dosage should be prescribed by a veterinarian.
Contraindication
- Do not use for animals with an impaired kidney function.
- Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
Withdrawal period
Meat and offal
- Broiler: 4 days
- Turkey: 6 days
Drug Interaction
Avoid the simultaneous use of thiamphenicol with Penicillins, Cephalosporines and Aminoglycosides.
Storage
- Keep it in room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the lid of container closed.
Precaution
- Use under supervision of a veterinarian.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use after Exp date.
- The shelf life, if sealed and subject to storage conditions, is 2 years after manufacturing date and 28 days if opened.
Environmental Considerations
- Avoid release to the environment.
- Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local regulations.
