Composition
Each 100 grams of powder contains:
Erythromycin thiocyanate 20 g
(Equivalent to 16/5 g Erythromycin Base)
Target Animal
Broilers, Breeders, Layer pullets and Turkeys
Indication
In broilers, Replacement pullets and Breeders:
Treatment of:
- Infections caused by gram-positive bacteria sensitive to Erythromycin such as Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Clostridia, Chlamydia, Listeria, Corynebacterium, Rickettsia, Mycobacterium and Pasteurella multocida
- Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma
- Local and general infections include bronchopneumonia, bacterial enteritis, urinary tract infections, upper respiratory tract infections, coryza, sinusitis, and enteritis.
- A supportive treatment in cases of respiratory viral diseases and clostridial infection.
- Stress conditions due to vaccination, debeaking, transporting, rehousing, changes of feed and weather.
In Turkeys:
As an aid in the control of Bluecomb (Non specific infectious Enteritis)
Dosage and Administration
- Dose of Erythromycin for poultry: 25-40 mg/kg BW Treatment:100g of Erythroniq® 20% /100 L of D.W. for 3–5 consecutive days.Prevention: 60g of Erythroniq® 20% /100 L of D.W. for 3 – 5 consecutive days.
- Note:
- First, dissolve each 100 g sachet of Erythroniq® 20% in 30 L of water. Then add it to the main drinking water tank.
- Prepare a fresh solution daily.
- Medicated water must be used within 24 hours during therapy period.
- During the treatment period, animals should not have access to any other source of drinking water other than the medicated water. It should be ensured that animals always have sufficient water available.
- Dosage and duration should be prescribed by a veterinarian.
- Do not use within 4 weeks before the start of the laying period.
Contraindication
- Do not use in animals with a seriously impaired hepatic and/or renal function.
Withdrawal period
- Meat : 3 days
- Eggs: 6 days
Drug interaction
- Avoid simultaneous use of Erythroniq® 20% with Lincosamide, Hydrocortisone, Beta-lactams, Tetracyclines and Amphenicols.
Storage
- Keep it in room temperature, dry place and away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the sachet closed.
Precaution
- Use under supervision of veterinarian.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid direct contact with eyes, skin and mouth.
- Wear protective equipment (Glasses, mask and gloves) while using product.
- Skin, eyes and basal membranes that has been in contact with Erythroniq® 20% should be washed with plenty of water.
Environmental Consideration
- Avoid release to the environment.
- Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local regulations.
